Huff + Puff!

Agnes and I went to the hill thingie next to Sheraton on Wednesday after months of inactivity. Yeah, I've been living in BSB forever but I've never been there before, so took pictures like a very sakai tourist hehe :)
Anyways, these are for Rasheed and Alan, will take more soon!

The starting bit of the hill after walking a little way up.

*Tour guide voice* To your right, you can see...uhh..I think it's Terrace Hotel (last time Ang's Hotel). I'll double check this evening if I go again hehe :-) The lady in the picture is actually the nurse who lives with her hubby and kids upstairs...the family that loves cats...remember or not?
This is the view on the left.
I think it's Sheraton's parking lot. So unobservant. Anyway you can see the after-school traffic hasn't changed!

Up the neverending hill

Halfway up...

Nearly there

The reddish building is Pusat Belia so you have some idea which part of Bandar this is :-)

The peak at last!

Separuh mati and still trying to act cute :P

Heheh...taking pics as if I'd climbed Mount Kinabalu :) But it felt like I'd climbed to the moon, could barely smile! The sign behind me says Protected Place...got a picture of a man running away and kena tembak. As if people can run away, by the time we reach the top, moving 2 inches is already too far!

Really had to drag myself up, so out of shape! Kept seeing people disappear into the corner, but was actually too exhausted on Wednesday to walk just 5 metres across to see where they were going :P

Going where?

Yesterday I wasn't so tired so I lurched over to the corner to see what was there..

Cheh...the next hill

I suppose it leads to Tasek Lama. Don't know what I was expecting, Alice in Wonderland's rabbit hole or what :P~

On the way down

Nearly out..with Agnes zooming ahead

And that's it..managed 2 hills on Wednesday and 3 hills yesterday...today see how lah :-)

Nice.. Fond memories. I remember that hill.. betwix Ang's and Sheraton. I don't remember going all the way up tho.. must have gone half-way up, on one of those evenings.

Where does that next hill lead to? It could actually lead to Tasek Lama. Seems the right direction.

Feeling all homesick now. :( I saw this first thing in the morning, and my day so far hasn't been very good. Feel like leaving, but.. where can I possibly go and what can I do? Best option is to stay lah.

Alan very lucky.. Can practically drive there.

Anyway.. many many shukriyahs for the pics. Please post more.. Cheong Mansion, SAS, Yaohan area, this and that entrance to Masjid Lama and Yayasan. All blurry blurry in my head.

Danks again!

Hey Alan,

This hill is between Sheraton Hotel and Ang's Hotel.. It was near that green park where we played football sometimes (which was behind St. Andrew's Church). Did you ever play football there? There was also this nice road without much traffic - great for ronda-ronda on bicycle.. remember?

:-)

Now that I think about it.. One of our friends used to live in one of those apartments on that road. I forgot his name, face, apartment, etc.. Bad memory.

heheh not bad memory, it's called "geting old" :P

I'm so jahat eh =)
Will put up pics of new SAS church and clearer directions to the hill by tonight, hope u can remember, Alan :) Been very the busy, finally finished 2nd draft of my books!

Cheer up big bro, each place got pros and cons lah :) And ur blog has REDNEX so sssshhhhhhh and stop complaining while i turn a very unflattering shade of green :P

Oh yeaaaah I ran into one of ur classmates...Chee Khiong? I think surname Foo. Not Kenneth right? very vaguely familiar, he seems to remember me extremely well tho. Me getting old oso :P

If very the homesick, go to google maps and hunt for brunei. then narrow the search to St Andrew's School...can see the tennis court, driveway etc...and round to Cheong Mansion flat :D

Hey, I know that padang! :-) We used to play football and cricket and 'sit-around-lazily-on-the-grass'!

Alan, you're right.. Google Earth has
our area covered by a nice big cloud. Can't really see CM or the schools. :(

Do you mean Foo See Keong? The guy who lived across the badminton/balloon court in that posh looking flat, and above that huge German Sheperd? Foo See Yen's big brother who always looked like he was in a bad mood? :P I have him on Friendster; last I heard, he was in Singapore.

Wait til I get a praaaper camera.. I'll post pics from Bangalore. Right now, I'm dependent on Dahlia's camerafon or the occasional emailed photo.

Sniff..
